It Can All Be So Simple
As high-achieving, over-functioning Black women, we really be out here thinking we having a full-blown emotional breakdown… when in reality, we just running on fumes and vibes.
Like—ma’am, you not unraveling. You’re just sleepy, hungry, and/or dehydrated.
QUICK WELLNESS CHECK:
🥗 Food: Have you eaten something with actual nutrients today—or did you just binge-drink caffeine and call it “breakfast”?
💧 Water: Are you hydrated, or just drifting on the memory of that one lil ole' bottle of water you drank last week when you “got your life together”?
💤 Sleep: Did you really rest… or did you just close your eyes and wake up confused, wondering why the last 48 hours feel like one long day?
You Just … Dry
Your hope NOT fading.
Your ambition NOT disappearing.
It’s your organs slowing down because they are literally dried out.
Dehydration can mimics symptoms of depression.
Yep—fatigue, brain fog, irritability, low motivation—all those “I’m over it” feelings.
Girl, hydrate.
Not coffee. Not soda.
Water.
Yall, we gotta' do better and stop making wellness feel like another job.
WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS. It's just our BASIC needs.
When we ignore them we start gambling with our energy, focus, and JOY.
