I Don't Feel Like It
Hold up—are we all struggling right now? Be honest because this is a wellness check. Because this year feels sooo weird.
Like frfr, the calendar saying it’s summer… but all of it is giving meh. Yall' feelin’ a little blah too, or am I just speaking for myself?
Nah, cause I know it’s y’all too. I know yall' feel like you’re crawling out of a hole, squinting at the light like, “what day is it?” Same.
Summer, Summer, Summertime
Man, summer used to feel like a breath of fresh air. Sun out, energy up, windows down. But now? It’s like the sun slowly clocked in while we still trying to recover from our last round of burnout.
Some of us thought we’d be on somebody’s beach by now, toes in the sand, soft music playing in the background, and no Wi-Fi in sight.
Instead, we’re in work meetings that should’ve been emails, trying to figure out dinner again, and navigating relationships that still ain’t figured themselves out.
Here’s your gentle reminder: It’s okay if this summer doesn’t feel like summer.
It’s okay if your joy is coming in slow waves. It’s okay if your version of “outside” looks like your couch, a bottle of cold water, and a moment of silence.
You’re not in an abyss. And you’re not just barely making it. Congrats! You’re actually just being real about how you feel. That’s growth, boo.
And summer is still yours—soft, slow, sacred.
Maybe this year, summer isn't simply a vacation. Maybe it’s recovery. Maybe it’s release. Maybe it’s real rest.
And if that’s what you need—take it.
Because what you’re not gonna do is overheat trying to keep up with a life that doesn't nourish you back. Period.
