You Gon' Learn Today
Y’all… I am STILL hollering from the Be Child-ish Challenge! 🤣
Last week was nothing but belly laughs. I had so much fun, I didn’t even put out a new Boundaries and Edges. Yep—I gave myself full permission to just relax and hang out. No deadlines. No guilt.
Just pure play.
Case in point? I was out on a random weekday, posted up at the arcade, going full Street Fighter mode—all for the plot. 🕹️💥
And the other playground girlies? Whew—they showed OUT. These folks were so dedicated, they were out here playing in the rain (IYKYK) 🌧️

I’m talking fort-building, bubble-blowing, sidewalk chalk masterpieces, a good ol’ game of MASH, and even paper crafts like we were back in 3rd grade with no bills.
It was pure, unfiltered joy.
For a minute, we ALL felt carefree—and that’s rare.
Because here’s the thing—Black women be out here knocking out tasks, keeping things in order, and always being the serious, responsible one.
We’ve got to find our rhythm in life—that sweet ebb and flow that lets us make a living and breathe, accomplish and enjoy, move and rest.
Three Rhythmic Soft Life Principles:
-
Pause on Purpose – Schedule rest like you schedule meetings.
-
Protect Your Yes – Only commit to what actually matters right now.
-
Play While You Work – Let joy sneak into the everyday.
Honestly? I'm thinking we might need to run the Be Childish Challenge back. But I need your feedback—so keep scrolling all the way to the bottom for the details.

P.S. And while we were having fun, we also got to compete—basically against ourselves—for prizes (and daily $10 gift cards).
The Ultimate Queen of Childishness—yes, that was her official title—scored the VIP Play All Day Pass, which came with the power to choose her own prize.
And not to toot my own horn, but the prize options? Chef’s kiss… absolutely amazing. 🎯
And what did she pick? A Vibration Plate—delivered straight to her front doorstep via Amazon. 👑✨ Talk about leveling up the play and the wellness game.
